The Seventh Trumpet (Revelation 11:15–19)
- The Daniel 7 Sequence: The narrative flow of Revelation 11—moving from the defeat of the two witnesses (Rev. 11:1-14) to the triumphant celebration of the Kingdom in the Seventh Trumpet (Rev. 11:15-19)—is the exact same sequence found in Daniel 7. Daniel 7:7-8 depicts the defeat of the saints by the little horn, followed by the victory and coronation of the Son of Man in verses 9-14.
- Making War with the Saints: The phrase indicating the beast "will make war with them, overcome them and kill them" explicitly points back to the prophecy of Daniel 7:21-22.
- The Opening of the Temple: The seventh trumpet officially signals the definitive end of the Old Covenant and the passing of the Festival of Trumpets. The mention of the ark of the covenant in the opened temple (v. 19) transitions the imagery directly into the fulfillment of the next Old Testament festival: Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), which involves the purifying of the new Holy of Holies and the destruction of the old.
